When GDC was entrusted with the Don't mess with Texas® brand in 2017, the phrase had taken on a life of its own; "Don't mess with Texas" meant different things to different people and not always the trademarked intention. Our approach was to refocus the tagline and bring it back to its original purpose: litter prevention.

We reinvigorated the brand with new faces including Joe Jonas and Black Pumas all with a strong anti-litter message. Now, once again, Don't mess with TexasR means don't litter!
