at GDC, you’ll find a fully integrated machine, working in sync without regard to the traditional department mentality. Creatives become media experts. Advertising account executives become PR gurus. Integrated Environment. Too many creative people and companies fall victim to their uncreative spaces. Walled in departments and offices often become innovation barriers and corners of complacency. Unlike other agencies, we don’t work in title-driven silos. Our environment is truly open with Art Directors sitting next to Account Service. And Media Reps sharing space with the Public Relations people. This is one of the key components of Integrated Marketing. Shaking up the seating chart stirs up our thinking and our perspective. We are constantly learning from each other, and our clients benefit with rich ideas that have the depth, breadth and texture that can only come from a variety of skill-sets.

Onsite Daycare. It shakes out like this: sure, we’re all professionals here at GDC but many of us are parents first and foremost. Which is why we have an onsite daycare for our children and our employees. Unconventional? Maybe. Unmatchable? Absolutely. The children are a lively addition to our agency culture and for a mommy or daddy here, there’s nothing like the knowledge that you are just down the hall if your little one needs attention, an extra snack or a big hug. And that unique addition translates into a benefit all around – the precious moments employees spend in the daycare allow them to experience all of their children’s firsts - first steps, words and birthdays, something unheard of in the normal working-parent scenario. It’s just one of the reasons our turnover here at GDC is impossibly low, in addition to the fact that no day is complete without children’s laughter echoing in our halls.

Wellness Program. We took the idea that healthy employees are more productive employees…and ran with it. The GDC Wellness Program is three-pronged: Mind, Body and Soul focusing on the whole person, not just the employee.  Supporting the body tier, we have group workouts led by a personal trainer three times a week. This has allowed for healthier hearts, waistlines and some healthy competition. The mind category is fulfilled with furthering education opportunities, book clubs and company field trips. The soul arena is left up to the employee allowing each individual an allotted amount of time to “refill the well” as needed.  At GDC, we respect the talented members of our team and want them to meet their personal goals as well as their professional ones.
